What to Expect from a Clarity Call | Sit with Aditi

Approaching a therapist for the first time may feel daunting, especially when you do not know what to expect. You've probably asked around, scrolled online, researched your options, and asked an LLM what flags to look out for.

And after all that, you found your way to my corner of the internet. Thank you for making it here.

I offer a 20-minute clarity call precisely to help with this confusion. It is so that you can get a sense of what to expect and gain more clarity on whether or not therapy with me is the right step for you.

What is a Clarity Call?

A clarity call is a low-cost, 20-minute call with the aim to facilitate an open conversation to ask any questions, check chemistry, and for you to see if my way of working will be the right fit for you. It's a no-pressure conversation that allows you to test the waters a little. It is also a space for you to ask any pressing questions you may have about therapy and get a sense of what the journey can look like for you.

What to Expect

I usually start by introducing myself and then ask you what you are looking for from therapy. I may have some follow-up questions for you, or ask some questions related to what you're going through. Afterwards, I explain a little bit about how I approach therapy and what route I may take for you, provided you're okay with it, to help you with better well-being.

What Not to Expect

A full therapy session. A clarity call is purely a one-time call meant for the purpose of information gathering and for you to understand the way I work.

What Happens After?

Nothing is expected of you from the end of the call. If it feels right, we talk about next steps. I take you through my intake process and explain what to expect out of it. If it doesn't feel like a good fit on your end, that is okay too. You leave with more clarity than you came in with, and that is a good outcome too.

Ready to take that step?
